ITINERARY

Departure from Bogotá - Mexico City

 

Day 1: Mexico City Arrival in Mexico City.

 

Reception at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Later, we will take a tour of the historic center, visiting the cathedral, the Zócalo (main square), the Palace of Fine Arts, the Latin American Tower, and Paseo de la Reforma. Accommodation, and the rest of the afternoon is free.

Day 2: Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Teotihuacan

 

Breakfast at our hotel in the morning, and departure at 7:30 am to visit the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the most visited Catholic temple in America. We will explore both the old 18th-century basilica and the modern temple. Afterward, we will visit Teotihuacan, known in Nahuatl as "the place where men become gods," one of the most impressive cities of the ancient world. Entrance and guided tour. (We will stay in Querétaro).

Day 3: Vineyards, Peña de Bernal, and Querétaro

 

Breakfast included at our hotel. Departure at 8:00 am to visit the Freixenet vineyards with their unique cellar located 25 meters underground. Next, we will visit the magical town of Peña de Bernal with its impressive monolith. In the afternoon, we will arrive in the city of Querétaro, where you can appreciate its beautiful colonial center, its Plaza de Armas, churches, lively restaurants, and pedestrian streets. In the evening, we will head to our hotel.

Day 4: San Miguel de Allende and Guanajuato capital

 

After breakfast, we will depart for San Miguel de Allende, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its Spanish Baroque architecture. In the historic cobblestone center of the city, you'll find the Parish of San Miguel Arcángel, known for its spectacular pink towers rising above the main square. Later, we will head to the city of Guanajuato, a beautiful university city also declared a World Heritage site. We will explore its steep slopes, narrow streets, temples, and take a funicular ride to admire the view from "El Pípila." We will also visit the Basilica of Guanajuato and the Valenciana mine. Transfer to the hotel.

Day 5: Guadalajara

 

Breakfast from 7 to 8 am and departure to visit Cristo Rey del Cubilete. Cubilete Hill is a mountain near Guanajuato, and at its summit stands the monumental Cristo Rey, 20 meters tall, built in the 1940s. We will also visit the modern Basilica shaped like a globe. In the afternoon, we will arrive in Tlaquepaque, a place known for pottery where artisans have become artists. You can explore art galleries, buy souvenirs, and stroll through the streets of a typical Mexican town. Transfer to the hotel.

Day 6: Guadalajara

 

Breakfast from 7 to 9 am and departure to the largest cowboy store in Mexico, Los 3 Potrillos, located at Vicente Fernández's ranch. If possible and allowed, we will visit the ranch. Later, we will head to the historic center of this beautiful city, where you can visit its Metropolitan Cathedral or the Basilica of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, the Government Palace, its four main squares, the Degollado Theater, the Plaza Tapatía, and the Hospicio Cabañas, a cultural heritage site of humanity. In the city center, you can buy jewelry at its jewelry centers, as well as crafts at the San Juan de Dios market.

Day 7: Tequila

 

After breakfast, we will travel to the magical town of Tequila to visit a tequila factory. Here, you will learn about the process of distilling our national drink, tequila, and how it is produced and cultivated.

Day 8: Transfer to the airport or Puerto Vallarta (optional 2 nights)

 

During the day, we will visit the beautiful town of Puerto Vallarta on the Pacific coast of Mexico. We will explore the boardwalk and have time for shopping. Alternatively, you can choose to relax and enjoy the sea and your hotel.

Day 9: Puerto Vallarta

Day 10: Transfer to the airport

CONDITIONS

The prices indicated in the program have been calculated for the travel date and may be revised in the event of variations in the cost of services, taxes, and fees, as well as changes in the exchange rates applied to the trip. This budget is not a reservation and is subject to the availability of services at the time of booking.

RESERVATION

A deposit of 500 USD per passenger is required to make a reservation. This deposit will not be refunded under any circumstances, as it is used to reserve international services such as the purchase of domestic tickets or hotel reservations and services that must be purchased in advance, among others. Only after receiving the deposit is it possible to begin the visa application process.

Deposits and full cancellations for any plan must only be made in person at the Viajes y Viajes offices. Under no circumstances is it permitted to collect money directly from the customer, and it is the customer's responsibility to request their own original receipt at the Viajes y Viajes offices once the payment has been made. In the case of bank deposits, it is only allowed to deposit into accounts registered in the name of Viajes y Viajes. Failure to meet these requirements means that Guajira Tours is not responsible for any damages. Service prices are subject to change without notice due to changes in airfare prices, exchange rates with respect to the local currency depending on the destination, and increases in fuel prices. Guajira Tours adheres to embassy regulations for visa processing according to the timeframes suggested by the embassies for such processing. Therefore, the company is not responsible for delays caused by embassies or for expenses incurred in the event of a visa denial. Additionally, the agency reserves the right, with the approval of the passengers, to change the departure date when opportunities arise to find better airfare and land portion fares, as well as delays in visa issuance by the embassies.
