ITINERARY

DAY 01: COLOMBIA - ISTANBUL

Departure on an international flight to Istanbul. Overnight on board.

DAY 02: ISTANBUL

Arrival, reception, and transfer with air-conditioned vehicles from Istanbul's Ataturk Airport to the hotel. Accommodation.

DAY 03: ISTANBUL

Breakfast. Optional guided tour in Istanbul "Jewels of Constantinople" with lunch at the Topkapi Palace, built in 1459, which was the residence of the Ottoman sultans from the 15th to the 19th century and today displays samples of the Ottoman royal treasury and other religious relics. Visit to: Hagia Sophia, considered a masterpiece of world architecture since the 5th century, now featuring mixed Christian and Muslim religious references after the conversion of the basilica into a mosque and later a museum. The Roman Hippodrome, built in the year 203, decorated with obelisks, columns, and fountains. The Sultan Ahmed Mosque (Blue Mosque) with its six minarets and decorated with turquoise-colored tiles. We then proceed to the famous Grand Bazaar, a market of secular walls and domes, a true experience of colors, aromas, and flavors. Accommodation.

DAY 04: ISTANBUL

Breakfast. Optional half-day "Bosphorus Tour" with lunch included: Visit Pierre Loti Hill and its famous café, to enjoy one of the most beautiful panoramic views of Istanbul, where you can look out over the Golden Horn and the imperial mosques on the ancient part of the city's skyline. Visit to the Spice Bazaar, built in 1660, which remains a must-visit for international food lovers. After lunch at a typical restaurant, embark on a fascinating journey on the waters of the Bosphorus, the strait that separates the European and Asian parts of the city and connects the Black Sea to the Sea of Marmara. During the boat ride, you can admire the beautiful villas, palaces, and Ottoman fortresses. Accommodation.

DAY 05: ISTANBUL - ANKARA - CAPPADOCIA

Breakfast. Early departure by bus to Ankara, passing through the Bolu Mountains, arriving in Ankara, the capital of the Republic, and visiting the Mausoleum of Ataturk, the founder of the Turkish Republic. Lunch. Continue to Cappadocia, passing by the second-largest lake in Turkey, Lake Tuz (Salt Lake). Arrival in Cappadocia. Dinner and accommodation.

Optional programs in Cappadocia: - Turkish Night: A folk dance show in a typical cave with unlimited local drinks, and a Hot Air Balloon Ride at dawn to admire one of the most beautiful landscapes on Earth.

DAY 06: CAPPADOCIA

Breakfast. Visit to the Pasabag or Cavusin Valley, Avcilar, and Givercinlik, which have spectacular views of the Fairy Chimneys. Visit to the chapels of Goreme, an Open-Air Museum. Lunch. Visit an underground city, either Ozkonak or Seratli, and explore a genuine and traditional carpet and jewelry workshop. Dinner and accommodation.

DAY 07: CAPPADOCIA - KONYA - PAMUKKALE

Breakfast. Departure to Pamukkale via Konya. Lunch en route. Visit the ancient Hierapolis and the Cotton Castle. A natural wonder, a giant cascade, stalactites, and natural pools formed over the centuries by the passage of thermal waters laden with calcareous salts. Dinner and accommodation.

DAY 08: PAMUKKALE - EPHESUS - KUSADASI

Breakfast. Departure to Ephesus, the best-preserved Greco-Roman city in Asia Minor from the 1st and 2nd centuries, which monopolized the wealth of the Middle East and preserves treasures such as the impressive Roman Theater that housed more than 25,000 spectators, the magnificent Celsus Library, and Marble Street. Visit to the House of the Virgin Mary, the supposed last residence of the mother of Jesus and now an important pilgrimage site. Continue to Kusadasi on the Aegean Sea and visit a leather workshop and an international brand outlet. Dinner and accommodation.

DAY 09: KUSADASI - GREEK ISLAND OF CHIOS - KUSADASI

Breakfast. Excursion to the Greek Island of Chios. Transfer from the hotel to the port of Cesme. After the immigration process to enter Greek territory, we have free time to walk around the port area until 11:00 am when our guided tour begins. Our first stop is the village famous for mastic production, which was used in ancient times for therapeutic purposes. We will then continue to Kambos, where we will see some Genoese stone houses, and then to the village of Armolia, where we will see mastic trees and visit pottery workshops. We continue our tour to the village of Mesta, where we will have the opportunity to walk through the labyrinthine streets from the Byzantine era and visit Megalos Taksiarhis. Free time to walk in the village and try some local food. We depart south to the village of Pyrgi, famous for its black and white decorated houses, and visit the Church of the Holy Apostle from Byzantine times. Our last stop will be at the black volcanic beach Mavra Volia in Empoios. We end our tour with the opportunity to taste delicious Greek food in the many local restaurants in the area. Transfer to the port and departure to Cesme in Turkey. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Dinner and accommodation.

DAY 10: KUSADASI - BURSA - ISTANBUL

Breakfast. Departure to Bursa. Panoramic visit to this important city, the first capital of the Ottoman Empire. Visit to the Green Mosque and Mausoleum. Lunch. Continue the journey to Istanbul. Accommodation.

DAY 11: ISTANBUL - COLOMBIA

Breakfast. Free day for activities and shopping on your own. At the agreed time, transfer to Istanbul's Ataturk Airport to take the international flight to Colombia.

The prices indicated in the program have been calculated for the travel date and may be reviewed in case there are variations in the cost of services, taxes, and related fees, as well as changes in exchange rates applied to the trip. This quotation is not a reservation and is subject to the availability of services at the time of booking.

RESERVATION

 

A deposit of 500 USD per passenger is required for the reservation, which will not be refunded under any circumstances as it is used to reserve international operator services such as purchasing domestic tickets or booking hotels and services that must be purchased in advance, etc. Only after receiving the deposit is it possible to begin the visa process.

Deposits and total cancellations of any plan must only be made in cash directly at the Viajes y Viajes offices. Under no circumstances is it allowed to collect money directly from the customer, and it is the customer's responsibility to demand their own original receipt at the Viajes y Viajes offices once the payment is made. In the case of bank deposits, it is only allowed to deposit in accounts registered in the name of Viajes y Viajes. If these requirements are not met, Guajira Tours is not responsible for any damage. Service prices are subject to change without prior notice due to changes in airfare prices, exchange rates concerning the local currency depending on the destination, and increases in fuel costs. Guajira Tours complies with embassy regulations for processing visas according to the time suggested by the embassies for said process. Therefore, the company is not responsible for delays caused by these regulations or for expenses incurred in case a visa is denied. Additionally, the agency reserves the right, with the approval of the passengers, to change the departure date when opportunities arise to find better airfare and land portion rates, as well as delays in visa delivery by the embassies.
