We will visit the beautiful desert landscapes of Alta Guajira combined with pristine beaches full of myths and legends. We will enjoy the cold waters of the river that flows from the Sierra Nevada while marveling at the snow-capped peaks. We will navigate in artisanal fishing canoes in search of pink flamingos and explore the streets of the Phoenix of America on bicycles.
Day 1 Riohacha - Pink Flamingos Wildlife Sanctuary
The Pink Flamingos Wildlife Sanctuary, located in the Camarones district, about 20 minutes from Riohacha, is considered one of the richest protected areas in terms of the variety of resident and migratory waterbirds, according to the National Parks authority.
We will travel to the area where we will enjoy a delicious lunch, rest for a while, and prepare to appreciate the sunset during a canoe ride to Navío Quebrao Lagoon, where we may encounter the graceful dance of the pink flamingos and other birds that visit the sanctuary.
Return to the hostel, which could be El Remanso or La Consentida, where we will be staying.

Early in the morning, it's ideal to take a swim in the warm waters of the Caribbean Sea in Camarones. We'll then head to one of the most cherished beaches for Colombians, Cabo de la Vela. Upon arrival, we'll have lunch and relax.
Taking a dip in Ojo de Agua Beach and spending the rest of the afternoon at the lighthouse is an experience that will forever captivate our spirits.
Day 3 and 4 Cabo de la Vela - Bahía Hondita - Punta Gallinas
Just like the sunset, sunrise is one of the daily gifts that the universe offers us, and Cabo de la Vela is a place to appreciate this gift. After breakfast, we'll enjoy the beaches and reenergize in the cold waters of Cerro Kamaichi or Pilón de Azúcar. Around 10:00 am, we'll head to the beautiful sand dunes of Taroa, where we can admire the enormous sand mountains. Then, we'll travel to the northernmost point of South America, recharge our energy, and organize our own totem with stones from the area. Dinner and accommodation.
In this new morning, where life offers us the opportunity to live it, and in this relaxed and fresh environment, it's good to wake up with the beautiful view of the bay, take a walk in the surroundings, and then enjoy a good breakfast. We'll head to Punta Aguja Beach to enjoy a morning of sun and sea.
Return to the lodging, have lunch, and rest. In the afternoon, we'll take a boat ride on Bahía Hondita. The night can be spent enjoying the starry sky.
Day 5 Punta Gallinas - Riohacha
Continue to enjoy a new dawn, take the photos that couldn't be captured yesterday, and appreciate the spectacular landscape of this new day, the daily life of a group of people who live day by day without the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Breakfast. We prepare for our return to Riohacha.
We'll head to Manaure and take a tour of the artisanal salt ponds, interacting with the locals and sharing the hard work of salt collection with pick and shovel in hand, taking some salt with us.
Next, we'll visit and interact with the Wayuu indigenous people in their ranchería, where we can experience their unique way of life, learn about their customs, and dance the Yonna with them as a sign of gratitude for this culturally rich day.
After such an intense day, we deserve a good rest.
Return to Riohacha. Accommodation, free dinner.
